I was talking to several friends about their work week recently. I heard a lot of old familiar pains. Back-to-back meetings. Packed days. Draining sessions. Busy, busy, busy.

I remember that crunch all too well. In those days, I felt lucky if I could come up for air for a few minutes for a walk. I desperately needed some creative outlets, but that was just one more thing to do. Many days, I let those instincts wither to make room for a little more email responding, or finishing up just one more thing from my to-do list.

Well, here’s a #forgoodnessmake challenge for those of you with jammed schedules. Take five minutes for yourself, and have a little drawing fun with these doodle starts.

What’s a doodle start? I’ve made some basic lines in this downloadable, printable PDF. Now you just have to finish the drawing based on what the initial marks inspire for you.

Even after spending just a few minutes, it amazes me how refreshing a little creative break feels. Did it work for you? Or do you need longer to reset and recharge? It’s always fun to see the different directions people go with the same starting point, so please tag your creations #forgoodnessmake to share them with us.
